Running Shoes Required!

Had so much fun with this family on an unusually warm and windy day in late October! They kept me on my toes!! Especially little miss 21 month old bundle of energy!! She was not into having her picture made if it meant staying still for more than a nano second! ;) So I had to be sneaky and FAST!! And those of you who know me well know that fast isn't usually a word that is used to describe anything about me, however when it comes to shooting a camera I can be when required! And it doesn't hurt that I have one of the fastest shooters in the Canon line;) I know this momma left the session none to sure that anything good had been captured, even with my assurances that SOMETHING would be worthy of printing! SO what do you think??

"Overcome"

I keep coming back to this word as I have been going through these pics during editing.  I was honored when this sweet momma contacted me to "capture" some pics of her sweet family.  This family has been ever in my thoughts as prayers for a bit over a year now.  It was then that they began the journey of moving forward without a husband and father.  Truly a prospect that I can not even fathom,  yet this momma with her strength, grace, courage and faith is doing just that...moving forward.  I'm sure at time she is "overcome" with struggles,  sorrow,  you name it.  But I see in her posts that forward movement of her family as they continue on day to day.  She and her children have "overcome" so much since their new journey began.   I remember the day I met them for pics,  I noticed one of the twins holding a hat in his hands,  I asked him,  already pretty sure of the answer,  what was the story of the hat he was holding.  He very proudly answered "That's my Dad's".  I assured him we would find a special place for it in the pictures.  Overcome.   I worked a little on this session before church this week and again I was "overcome".  I though of this family who was probably getting ready for church and how stressful that is for me and my two kids and I have help!  Someone had it totally wrong when he sung "Easy like Sunday Morning" because MY Sundays are never easy,  what must this momma struggle with to get them all out the door? But look at these pictures,  do you see her smile? I know she must be hurting but she is still smiling,  beautifully I might add! I'm sharing just a few sweet moments of this session.  The first picture is my favorite,  its not perfect,  or posed,  but in all the craziness of her kids, life, etc....she has kept this sweet smile!  Thank you sweet momma for sharing your family with me!!  Oh and I went to church yesterday after thinking of the word "overcome" time and again and here is part of the scripture that we studied:

John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have OVERCOME the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

Cutest little redheaded, brown eyed pumpkin!

Just look at all this yumminess!! This boy is getting so big so fast!! I was so glad I was able to meet up with his parents at the pumpkin patch to "capture" a few sweet moments at the patch! Don't you think he is the cutest pumpkin of the bunch??? I do!! Loved seeing them even if it was only for just a little bit. This family has a special connection to this particular pumpkin patch which made photographing their little miracle pumpkin all the more sweeter! I love these pumpkin pics,  but my favorite ones don't have any pumpkins in them at all!! I love the ones with his dad holding him up against the sky best of all...I couldn't have a prettier sky if I had painted it myself!! They don't call this little guy the "Ginger Avenger" for nothing...Look how good he looks "flying" up there!!

Sisters!!!

Oh how I love sisters!! I have two of my own that make my life special and I love seeing other sisters in action! These too were sooooo fun to shoot!! I met them at their gradmothers house and had so much fun!  Their grandmother is a hoot and these two did not fall far from the tree!! They are full of sass and spirit just like she is....LOVE IT!! And they are beautiful!!! I can tell already that these two are going to give their mom and dad (and grandmother) a run for their money and I mean that in a good way!!
