Lovely Little Loves!

This was such a fun and easy shoot!  These kiddos made my job super easy! I'm always a little taken aback when that happens.  I try to arrive with an arsenal of tricks up my sleeve to get that perfect grin or smile and tho the littlest miss did try to test me a bit by being a bit selective about her smiles,  It took no time at all for me to coax one out of her! Not to mention all the rest of the family pitched in to help too! I really think the shoot hold the record for the fastest and easiest!! But I loved every shot! See what you think!

Sunflowers and Sunshine!!!

My sweet friend, who is also an amazing photog,  let me borrow her kiddos to give my new camera a spin and to do some shooting into the sun practice! We often trade out shooting each others kiddos, because let me tell you shooting your own can be a BEATING!!! I'm not kidding,  those kids know how to push their parents buttons, and no offence to dads, in general its the moms they know best how to annoy! Take for example my two, ANY OTHER TIME, my daughter wants to be a mommy to my son,  bossing him around, telling him what to do EVERY chance she gets,  enter a camera into the mix along with a mom whose two hands are busy working it and suddenly she has no idea how to do either.  She becomes a whining mess and I become mommy dearest. Yall think I'm joking but I'm not! One day I'm gonna post all my out takes, just you wait! SO with all that being said, my friend was sweet enough to go to the trouble of getting her kids all pretty and getting them on location.  Once again I will say, no sunflowers were harmed during the shooting of these pics, and we only sorta ignored the no trespassing signs,  I mean we weren't walking all in the fields or anything, just creatively shooting beside them! ANYWAY the sun was low and made for great sun-flare to play with so play I did,  the little miss littlest did NOT want to pose but relented in the end and I might have even ended up with more good ones of her, go figure! However both of them in the same pic was totally NOT on the littlest's agenda so we had to be content with shots of the two of them separately! Enjoy these gorgeous girls!! I know I did!! Lovely Little Miss "L" {Downtown McKinney Child Photographer}

I met Lovely Little Miss L for a shoot to commemorate her gaining a year in age!! I just love this gorgeous girl!! I absolutely LOVE the looks she throws at the camera,  not always full on smiles,  she makes me work for those...but looks that are a photographers dream! You see, everyone can throw you a smile but to capture a look, either serious, playful, that is so full of personality,  now THAT is what we live for! Yes, I know momma wants a good smile,  I do too...but really some of my most treasured pics of my kids are photos of them with looks on their faces that I see everyday...chewing on their lip while drawing a picture, wonder in their eyes as they gaze at a butterfly or flower,  even that look of mischief that tells me there is no way I'm gonna do what you want me to! This girl pulled out all those looks for me and then some,  and let me tell you she is stunning whatever look, smile, expression she lets me capture! Her skin, her eyes,  OH her EYES!,  and her hair just make up a combination that makes an incredible picture! We had so much fun walking around downtown McKinney and Chestnut square!! Enjoy!

Lovely Ladies!

Just a quick peek at what I'm finishing up today! Still having fun playing around with some different editing techniques;) These sweet girls were full of energy! Kudos to their mom for her flexibility!! The plan was to shoot them in a lovely field while my little man was working hard in his OT session,  BUT I dropped him off only to realize that my CAMERA was not in my camera bag!!!  Really??? Who goes to a shoot without their camera?? Well ME apparently,  geez! I usually leave it out with in reach so I can catch the special moments that my kids have,  I just forgot the grab it in the rush to get out the door..ugh! Anyway, this momma was nice enough to run a few errands while my boy finished his therapy session and I retrieved my camera! Turns out we were able to go to an even prettier spot than originally planned and I had more time to give them so I guess all is well that ends well!! Enjoy!

Frisco TX Wildflowers!!

OH MY Goodness!! Just look at these two gorgeous kiddos!! They are sooooo yummy I could just take a big ole bite out of them!! Yes,  I'm dieting again so everything becomes delish and there will be lots of references to food, eating and sweets in my blog posts...just so you know ;) Any way,  these lovely little ones met me in a most beautiful wildflower field to take some some sweet pics of this precious growing girl, and of course big brother needed to get in on the action!  However once he got there there were much more fun things to do besides posing for the camera.  Kudos to my number one assistant (my sweet girl) who sat down with him and taught him the 5 little monkeys swinging in the tree song...he got the biggest giggle when the alligator SNAPPED the monkey outta that tree! And of course I was there to capture those grins! Little miss was easier to get a smile out of..I just LOVE my new, OLD enamel bowl...dont you?? I used it for a new born shoot too and loved it then too!! Hope you enjoy these as much I enjoyed taking them!

Random Patch of Bluebonnets!

So today we took a break from the house and work that awaited us and took the kiddos to the park! Daddy has a bike with a trailer that my sweet boy was dying to ride in and my beautiful girl of course jumps at any opportunity to ride her bike.  Sadly I do not own a bike:( My honey bought his while I was expecting and so I wouldn't let him buy me one too...we never rectified that problem. Anyway,  I met them at park and enjoyed watching my little loves play! I looked over to the field next to me and noticed a few sparse patched of bluebonnets! Of course I had my camera with me and made the little ones stop playing and pose for a pic or two....they totally LOVE it when I do that!! LOL! Anyway here is what I got out of them for this impromptu shoot,  certainly not my best effort,  I promise I could do MUCH better with your kids! Super Sweet Sneak Peek!

This sweet brown eyed beauty recently turned 5 years old AND we just had to take a few pics to commemorate the special occasion!  I think 5 is a pretty special year and this special little girl is pretty special too!! I just loved capturing her sweet spirit! She has a little bother too that turned one not too long after she turned 5 so we did one year pics of him as well! But, I've been looking at this gorgeous girl the last little bit while editing their session and I just had to share a few of my favorites of her before I continued with my editing!! Frisco TX Photo Shoot at Babes

What a special shoot this was! This little man's mommy and I have known each other since kindergarten!! We had sleepovers together and went to each others birthday parties and now our children get together on occasion to play and have fun!! So I was super excited to get a call form her asking if I wanted to help her get her little guy a bit more used to posing for the camera!  We met at Babes Chicken in Frisco which has some many great places to shoot! I love it there and especially love it when it's not swarming with other photographers! On this morning we had it all to ourselves! It was a bit chilly but that didn't deter this little guy from trying to run out all his energy! He was fast!! And tho I can never profess to be fast in ANY way my camera IS! And I got to work trying to capture this handsome boys personality! I have got to say that some of my favorite images ever came out of this shoot!! I just love them and seriously this is one beautiful boy!! I left the shoot assuring mom that I had a least captured a few that she would like and I can assure you I got more than a few!! The gallery alone has 26 pics and those are just the ones I narrowed down as MY favs not even all the ones I like!! Take a look at this beautiful boy and enjoy!!

Sisters!!!

Oh how I love sisters!! I have two of my own that make my life special and I love seeing other sisters in action! These too were sooooo fun to shoot!! I met them at their gradmothers house and had so much fun!  Their grandmother is a hoot and these two did not fall far from the tree!! They are full of sass and spirit just like she is....LOVE IT!! And they are beautiful!!! I can tell already that these two are going to give their mom and dad (and grandmother) a run for their money and I mean that in a good way!!

Sibling Love!

I love my kids!! But getting them to pose for me just does not happen so I have to be content to capture the sweet moments they share together instead of pretty posed pictures.  Don't get me wrong,  I'm still trying to get that pretty posed picture but some of the "outtakes" truly melt my heart.  Last week my sweet girl wanted to take her brother on a bike ride,  up till now he has only wanted to be pushed around and not pedal himself so we were so excited that he was doing it himself.  But what really warmed my heart was seeing his sister get so excited at his achievement.  LOVE this sweet girl of mine...she is so sweet and is such an amazing big sister!! Just look at the excitement on her face and how she is encouraging him!! SO sad that daddy was away on business and missed this precious moment.  Because they were being so sweet to each other I decided to Load them up for a pumpkin mini of our very own. Ummmmm....the sweetness apparently had been all used up because my little boy wanted nothing to do with sitting for a pic with his sister and my sweet girl once again proclaimed that she was over having her picture taken.  Oh well,  I still like what I got....ITs hysterical and makes me giggle....it's totally our crazy kids!  LOVE them and all their craziness...wouldn't have it any other way!

Sooooo,  My favorite family of 6 stopped by my.....ahem.... "home studio"...*giggle*.....for a play date and a little photo shoot of my most favorite 2 year old!  That is my most favorite besides my own 2 year old,  but then my little two year old monster wont be two but for a couple of more weeks:(.  Oh how time flies....all the more reason to "capture" it!! This little man was a dream....I'm not kidding!! I told him hey "G" come sit over here and smile for the camera and guess what....HE DID!!! Really folks,  what two year old BOY do you know who will do that?? He did everything I asked of him and more!! Wondering if he might give a few pointers to my little monster,  I mean man;)  I got so many great shots of out this little man....I love them ALL!! Lovely Little Miss "L"

Little Miss "L" is GORGEOUS!! Her skin is amazing,  its like a china doll and those eyes!! Soooo beautiful! I really enjoyed this shoot,  Miss "L" made me work for it and I LOVE the challenge!! She just wasn't too sure about me and my camera,  and her Momma and I had to giggle when I gave her a big bright yummy sucker and she was thought it was just to sweet and too sticky to bother with for too long! I LOVE little girls who know their own mind! But I also love the expressions she gave me,  thoughtful,  introspective,  half smiles that just melt my heart,  These a just a few, truely a beauty and a joy to capture!

Show Me Those Baby Blues!!!

Today I spent a little time with a little man who is about to become a big brother!! This is one sweet boy with one amazing set of blue eyes!! Those are all his folks!! Some may wonder if I retouch eyes....well...yes and no....I never change color, ever...but I will add contrast and sharpness to lashes and sometimes a little exposure to the whites of the eye to help the color pop or if you can see me in the pupils, which actually happens a lot, then I may darken the pupils a bit,  otherwise I leave them alone to be beautiful as God intended! And does this boy have beautiful eyes...just like his momma! This has got to be one of my favorite shoots (though I tend to say that about them all ;)  but really so many great shots outta this little guy...and it wasn't fussy,  just simple fun! Tho I will admit he kept us on our toes, and I have to giggle when I think about how he made his very pregnant momma and me run after him down the street,  it wasn't funny at the time but I'm sure that was quite a sight.  Oh my!!
