Super Sweet Sneak Peek! {Central Park Frisco TX shoot}

OH My!! I spent the first part of my day with this precious little guy and his sweet mommy and daddy! What a great way to start my day!! He is soooooo sweet!! I LOVE his hair and the way its starting to curl,  and his eyes!! Oh my goodness his eyes!! I swear they are the bluest eyes I have ever seen!! This little man is gearing up for a first birthday party and  mommy wanted to get some sweet shots to have for his big day.  This family is stunning and the location was perfect for them.  Its always great when I have a family that doesn't mind starting out early,  for one the light is amazing and so easy to shoot in, and second its a bit cooler in the morning here in the blistering heat of summer! This family was bright eyed and ready to go by 8am! I LOVE THAT!! Check out these sweet shots,  there are so many I love, these are just a few that steal my heart! Enjoy!!

Prosper TX Family Photo Shoot

This family was such fun to photograph!! So laid back and happy to do what ever I asked!! Which was really nice because there were so many of them!! LOL! Aside from families groupings at weddings this was one of the largest I have shot and they all cooperated beautifully!! Even the babies!! We met at a beautiful location in a Prosper Neighborhood that I had actually had the pleasure of shooting at before,  It really pretty there and has very lovely scenery for a backdrop which was perfect for this family of 13!! Gorgeous Family at Grapevine Botanical Gardens!

I had SUCH a good time getting to know this family!! What a beautiful family they are! And this location never fails to disappoint when it comes to great scenery, everywhere you look there is something new! Gorgeous foliage,  rustic fences....you name it, it has it!! And this family made my job so very easy,  they are simply stunning and so much fun,  the older "kids" were soooo helpful grabbing my stuff and carrying it for me and in the end searching the grounds for things I had left behind.  It is no surprise to those who know me well how engrossed I can get doing something I love, and that usually leads to me setting things down like lens caps, props and equipment to get the great shot and then walking off to capture the next one and forgetting I left something behind! I really should figure out a better system...sigh! But no worries,  this sweet family had me covered!! The little ones were such characters, we had a lot of fun with them putting them up form for some fun poses! I absolutely LOVE the shots I got of the three of them looking at the fish! This place has one of the most beautiful koi ponds I have EVER seen!! Its totally worth a drive just to see those fish!! This was one of the larger family shoots I have done and its always fun to have a new challenge with posing and the extra folks always add a fun dynamic to the shoot!! Enjoy!! Mr Congeniality {Frisco TX, Newborn Photographer}

Oh my!! I told this precious baby's momma that I would title my blog post Mr Congeniality and I wasn't playing! This gorgeous boy gave me more smiles in this shoot than I knew what to do with!! I LOVE it!! He was so sweet and content! AND such a BIG boy!! So big that my baskets and props were almost, but not quite, too small! I was worried when I left that I didn't get much of big brother and little brother together that was usable as big brother was busy and wanted to play instead of pose,  AND I was set up to shoot in his playroom!! Goodness!! But he was super sweet and super proud of his little brother and was happy to show me that he was! In fact,  after editing these,  I am one hundred percent IN LOVE with the pics of the two of them together!! I think they may be some of my favorites ever!! Yes, I know I say that with each shoot but I mean it every time!!  Enjoy these pics from this sweet session,  I enjoyed every bit of it!!

Amazingly Beautiful Family! {Frisco TX Newborn Photography}

This precious girl was absolutely perfect for her newborn shoot! I was so excited to go and shoot her,  after all I was there to see her grand entrance and she pretty much came out camera ready! For real this precious girl had gorgeous skin and was always ready to strike a pose! Big sister looks equally gorgeous and was a super big helper and let me get some great sibling photos too...LOVE!! I"m always totally amazed when I walk into a clients home for a newborn shoot and the mom looks as beautiful as this mom did.  It blows my mind!! Folks,  I'm shooting these pics generally in THE FIRST WEEK OF LIFE?!?! Thinking back on the mess I was after both of my deliveries I'm not sure I could even shower without someone else actively participating to help me get it done...much less open the door and look like a million bucks like this momma did?!?! Totally beyond my understanding:) LOL!  I'm sure you will agree with me that this whole family is stunning...take a look and enjoy! 

This Precious Girl Outshines All the Flowers at Grapevine Botanical Gardens!

Oooooo....I heart this little lady! We met one windy afternoon at Grapevine Botanical Gardens to get some pics of this gorgeous girl who just turned one!  She LOVED being the center of attention,  but really wanted her momma in the spotlight too:) But a little dirt and some dried leaves and she was once again happy to sit by herself and give me a smile or two! I LOVE this family and I had so much fun capturing some special moments of this little miss with her mommy and daddy! They are the absolute best! I played around with some different editing styles with this session,  using some techniques to get that more vintage look that is so popular right now. The family collage is an example of that, You can see those pics in the collage edited more traditionally in the gallery but I thought I would show you a different style to see what you think..I love the look but I am kinda torn....I'm always trying to get the sharpest image and the vintage look takes a sharp image and makes it appear old and worn....aka NOT sharp...so I'm on the fence about it!! Random Patch of Bluebonnets!

So today we took a break from the house and work that awaited us and took the kiddos to the park! Daddy has a bike with a trailer that my sweet boy was dying to ride in and my beautiful girl of course jumps at any opportunity to ride her bike.  Sadly I do not own a bike:( My honey bought his while I was expecting and so I wouldn't let him buy me one too...we never rectified that problem. Anyway,  I met them at park and enjoyed watching my little loves play! I looked over to the field next to me and noticed a few sparse patched of bluebonnets! Of course I had my camera with me and made the little ones stop playing and pose for a pic or two....they totally LOVE it when I do that!! LOL! Anyway here is what I got out of them for this impromptu shoot,  certainly not my best effort,  I promise I could do MUCH better with your kids! I just love this family! They have been soooo patient with me! I shot momma and the kiddos quite a while ago for a birthday surprise for daddy and the original plan was for me to go right back soon after his birthday and add dad into some pics! Easy enough, right?  Well apparently not, as it took me WAY too long to get back over there,  shameful considering they live just right down the street!! You would think we could get our schedules to jive long before this but not so much! AND to top it all off, I was late to the shoot!! UGH! I know, I know...all of you who know me well are thinking that is not anything new for me but I do TRY to be on time;) I woke up exactly 18 min before I needed to be at their house! Panic!! My sweet boy had kept me up most of the night with some seriously bad asthma and I did not think to set an alarm because he his such a get up and go early kind of little guy.  I guess he was worn out so of all days he slept in. In fact, I was so tired from my late night (or really all night) activities that when I was all done with the shoot I packed up and headed out without my CAMERA EQUIPMENT! Really?!?! AND, Sweet momma had to message me to tell me I had left it as I had not even missed it yet! Oh my! Anyway,  despite my lack of sleep I really enjoyed this shoot, I love going to folks houses and trying to capture great shots of their families in the spots they are most comfy! Plus, this brother and sister and so sweet to watch,  they are so funny together! I love and am fascinated by the dynamic between brothers and sisters, maybe because I never had a brother or maybe because my own little family consists of a brother and a sister...who knows,  but regardless I LOVE it! Mom and Dad did pretty well too posing for some great pics of just the two of them! Check it out,  I think you will agree,  so sooo sweet!

Downtown McKinney Family Photo Shoot!

This family was such a blast to shoot!! Not only was the shoot in a new location for me,  they knew all the nooks and crannies to shoot in!  They were able to show me all sorts of places that looked great in photographs... Absolutely love it when I learn while I''m doing what I love! AND this family was so natural! There was no trying super hard to get them to look like they liked being in each others company...All my families love each other,  its just occasionally when you point a camera their way it makes them uncomfortable and they don't do the things they would normal do naturally! Not so with this sweet,  precious, amazingly beautiful family!! They were all about snuggling up close and smiling for the camera! Of course it had nothing to do with the fact it was totally freezing when we started!! So cold I would have snuggled up with them too!! Just look at these sweet babies braving the cold...they did so great!!! And the cold just put roses in their cheeks and a sparkle in their eyes!! I took soooo many pics of this family...partly because we were trying out so many different locations downtown but really just because they are so sweet to capture!! I got so many of big brother and lil sis just being sweet and funny with each other!! LOVE!! One thing I for sure don't love is while I got plenty of mommy/daughter and father/son shots I totally didn't switch it up and do it the other way around...talk about a total FAIL! Goodness that burns me up...oh well just another excuse to get these folks in front of my camera again!!

Chestnut Square Mckinney, TX Photo Shoot

OH how I love this family!! And I loved meeting up with them early on a Sunday Morning before church and snapping their picture! Such beauties in this family! Just look!! And the back drop of Chestnut Square was perfect,  I love it's rustic quaint feel.  This family had a little miss who is sure she is the "star" of the show, sadly she was not friendly to the "paparazzi" AKA me!  She wanted nothing to do with the camera and had no time to pose...she wanted to run and play...no time for the camera...stuff to do and see and places to be! But I love the challenge and it lets me capture the BEST pics...the ones I LOVE the most, families just being them...interacting with each other.  That is the stuff I love to capture,  little moments that are fleeting and will be gone before you blink.  Those are the images that years from now you will see and they pull at your heart,  not that the beautifully posed and composed ones won't do the same but I just feel like those precious moments get lost in all the business and to have them "captured" is so extra special! Its why I love doing this so much! Enjoy this beautiful family!!

Prairie Creek Park Family Photo Shoot!

This place is quickly becoming my favorite place to shoot! It's not too far away and the fall colors were beautiful!! Not to mention it has an amazing waterfall!! You can even walk across it and stand on it! So  pretty! Of course it never hurts to have a beautiful family to compliment the backdrop too!! These kiddos were so funny! I know moms and dads get exasperated when their kids want to just run and play instead of pose for the "perfect picture",  After all usually you are paying for the photographer and have spent a lot of time picking out the perfect outfits,  the perfect place,  getting everyone's hair and makeup just perfect...and then you arrive and your kids just really could care less about the camera!! UGH!! But that's what I love most about doing this,  that is exactly what sets up the PERFECT picture!! Those kids acting like themselves and playing! I LOVE IT!! This momma has told me several times since that she was sure that her kids were the absolute worst and should get some sort of an award for the least cooperative...whatever!! By the way,  sweet momma,  MY kids have yours beat hands down in that category! No Lie! I think some amazing images came out of this session!! What do you think?

I had so much fun shooting families this past few months and this family was a riot!! They had me giggling the whole time!! It was so much fun to attempt to capture this families unique dynamic which is always my goal!! Downtown Prosper was a fantastic place to shoot,  I adored all the weathered  wood and peeling paint!! I absolutely love the ones with the kids strangling each other in the background behind their sweetly posed parents!! PERFECT for this family!! And then we were blessed with a stunning sunset which was the perfect fiery complement to this family full of personality!

Some of you might remember Little Miss "L"!  I've posted pics of her before and Oh!! how I just love her!  Well this time I got to add mom and dad into the pics!! LOVE!!! The center pic in the collage has now topped my list of all time favs!! LOVE IT!! Just look at her sweet face and how happy she is!! And I love mom and dad in the background!! Seriously Folks!! This family looks like it just stepped off the pages of a GAP advertisement!! Simply beautiful!! But I don't know why I was surprised by that,  after all dad is the brother of a coworker with another equally stunning family! What a time this dad is going to have keeping the boys away from all four of these girls!! They are breathtaking,  each and every one!! He better invest in same firearms pronto!! Even the dog is a pretty girl,  and she smiled for me...just look!! This dad had me in stitches the whole shoot!! Such a fun family!! Loved them all and I loved how their pics turned out!! The location could not have been prettier! These are just a few...there are sooooo many good ones!!

Oh this family is oh so sweet!! LOVE them!! And I loved "capturing" some sweet pictures of them! We met way the heck out in the middle of nowhere and what a great location it was!! That is if you disregard the the train that came screaming through with out ANY notice!! I'm not kidding...NO WARNING! Geez...and this momma was so excited to hop up on those tracks for a pic a little later!! I'm not going to lie and say that I didn't have a few moments of anxiousness up on those tracks;) Sweet little miss was no fan of the train either!! But she bounced right back and gave us some really winning smiles!! I LOVE her!!! And then there was the run down trailer parked right next to the tracks that seemed to be abandoned but then later we noticed that it's door was open and someone had built a big fire in a big pit in front of it! OH Lordy! I was certain it was the local serial killer getting ready to barbecue us!! BUT seriously folks,  it was a GREAT location that this momma found for us! I may have to venture up there again....but prolly only with someone who has a concealed handgun license or something!! LOL! Just look at these sweet pics!! Oh and for you Apple users,  I'm trying to find a new gallery style that y'all can see on ipads and iphones...this one should work but I'm gonna warn you...I don't like it at all!!! So back to the drawing board to find another option!  Enjoy!

Favorite Family EVER!! Well, besides my own;)

SO....just in case you guys didn't get it from the title of the post,  I LOVE this family!! For real!! I've known this momma since the two of us were in the 4th grade,  we even sang a duet together then!! A stanza of "We Are The World" no less!! I wonder if she remembers which part of it we sang??? I'm pretty sure I tried to push her out of the way of the mic but she totally held her own and out sang me by miles! True story folks! We have been through choir trips,  college craziness,  our weddings,  pregnancies...pretty much everything together! She even let my husband move into her house for a few days a week for 9 MONTHS while he was commuting back and forth from Waco to Addison before we moved the whole family up here while I was finishing nursing school. This girl picks me up when I fall apart,  which seems to be a lot in the last few years...Oh my! To say she is the very best is a total understatement! SO I love capturing memories of her family for her!! Look at this beautiful family!! I am so very blessed to have them in my life and to be able to call this momma my bestest friend in the whole wide world!!!

OH!! How I love sweet BOYS!!

Those who know me well,  will get a little chuckle out of the title of my post.  After all I'm the girl who all through my second pregnancy (again we chose not to find out the baby's gender) was POSITIVE that I was carrying a girl because I could not possibly have a boy,  as I did not know what to do with one  Boys are stinky and dirty and rowdy,  I just could NOT have a boy....I was not made to be the mom of a boy.  Literally 3 weeks before the birth of my second child I was standing at the nurses station,  in a daze because a patient had just proudly shown me a sono picture of her child's "boy parts" and thinking to myself...."OH Dear Lord!! I think I saw that same picture when they scanned me the last time?!?!"  Enter one of my OB's who happens to be a friend as well and that triggered a MAJOR meltdown,  panic attack,  whatever you want to call it!!! I begged,  no demanded, that she scan me to confirm that my worst fears were not true and really I had imagined what I might have seen.  Because IF it WAS as boy I would really need some time to come to terms with that and figure out what to do with "it"!  Sweet friend that she was just giggled and told me I had come so far and that you did the same things with a boy that you do with a girl and that I would be OK.  Essentially she refused to scan me.  RUDE!! LOL,  just kidding!!  But she did reassure me and talk me "off the ledge", so to speak! Fast forward a few weeks and out comes this amazingly beautiful, heartbreakingly sweet,  yummy little BOY!! I'm so glad the Lord knew what I needed better than I did because OH!! How I love sweet little boys now!! I LOVE being a mom to a boy!! And I'm sure this momma feels the same way!! Just look at these sweet beautiful boys!! They really kept me on my toes and made me work....but I LOVE that!! It's so fun!! THEY were so fun!  I always hate to see parents worry about their boys being too busy or rowdy or not still enough during a session.  As moms,  we always want everything to be just perfect,  but this I what I love most about being a photographer...being able to "capture" the sweet fleeting moments.  Those moments are gone in an instant,  especially with boys!! I'm so grateful this family invited me to capture a few of their sweet moments for them!!

What a pretty day it was to capture such a pretty family!! SO worth the drive to such a pretty part of our area near Aubrey TX!  This family looked amazing! I'm told sweet little miss choose what she wanted to wear and the rest of the family had to coordinate around her!! LOL!! Well she did a good job picking out a fab color scheme!! This momma had decided to forgo family pictures this year.  All the preparation and stress that she thought it would take to get ready just wasn't on her list of priorities.  BUT...thankfully I convinced her otherwise by showing her some pics of this location and promising to make it as pain free as possible.  Of course I forgot to mention at that time that meeting at 830am on one of her only weekends off of work was necessary.  Oh well, the light was fantastic and the whole family arrived cheerfully and ready to pose;) Of course the teenage boys needed some encouragement to actually smile!!! LOL! Just a glimpse of what I have to look forward to with my boy!! But smile they did and I love how these pics turned out! Lovely!! I'm so glad this momma decided to do this!! And I hope she will be too!!

As I was going through these pics...all I could think was this family is gorgeous!! I mean really.... they could not be more beautiful or more beautifully put together! I LOVED this shoot!!! It was so much fun!! Tho I have to admit, I was a little bit nervous about shooting it simply because this gorgeous momma was soooo worked up about it and all the details!! What would every one wear,  would what she picked be ok,  how would they pose,  where would they pose,  getting there,  getting everyone ready...you name it, she was worried!! But look at these pics!! I could not go wrong with this family and it could not have gone better!!! I absolutely LOVE them!!
