Beautiful Baby Girl!

Today I got to snuggle with the sweetest most precious angel!! Oh how I love shooting newborns! Of course I say that about everything I shoot but it's true!! I absolutely love it!! This sweet girls joined a big brother and a big sister and they were oh so fun too! Big sis wasn't super excited about posing for the camera but that's ok! I'm sure Ill get to catch her with her little sis some other time soon! Big brother was sooo loving and protective! Melt my heart!!! check out these few precious shots,  I know you will agree she is to sweet for words!

Oh How I LOVE little girls!

This sweet girl is sooo yummy! She came over to my...ahem...."home studio" with my mommy, daddy, her big sisters and  GiGi! Generally I do newborn shoots in the newborns home but since this momma was going to travel to GiGi's for the shoot anyway,  she was kind enough to come a little farther to my house! It was great because I travel with A LOT a stuff for my shoot and no other shoot requires the amount of "stuff" that a new born shoot does! Generally it takes about 30 min to set everything up and then another 30 to tear it down again,  not that I ever mind but wow it was nice to have it here! Poor Gigi was totally here to help entertain her grandchildren and my sweet girl was all over tying to get her attention and monopolizing her time....geez you would think I NEVER gave her any of my time the way she latched! Whew...I swear, my daughter sure knows when to ask for stuff...she knows when I'm busy with a client I'm much more likely to say yes to just about anything to keep her busy and this day was no exception!  Good grief! Total back fire on my part when I told her she could help keep the little girls entertained! But this grandma was sooo very patient with her and I really appreciated it and in the end my sweet girl actually saved the day when this little tiny mover and shaker tried to roll off my bean bag! Never good when that happens! I love it when I'm able to get both sleepy pics and awake pics of a newborn! This little little angel really delivered!! At one point point I got to really snuggle with her and OH MY GOODNESS!! Melt my heart! What is it about these precious babies that just makes you feel sooo goood when you love on them?!?! I love these pics of he,  and I love the sweet ones we got with her big sisters! Enjoy!

Sweet Little Sister!!!

Once again I just about missed this special delivery! Really folks,  I AM a Labor and Delivery nurse, AND I didn't become one just last Tues!  I should know by now that these little bundles of joy come when they are ready and that i don't REALLY have plenty of time to get there like I think I do....geez!!! But I guess when I get to take off my nurse hat and just put on my photog gear I forget.  Anyway,  apparently I was getting updated through grandma "Gigi" who was getting updates from her daughter who wasn't even the one in labor!! Whew, confused yet?!? Well no worries,  I got there just in time!!! YAY!! This delivery was truly special to see as this was baby girl number three for this family and as I am from a family of three girls and my momma was also one of three girls it was so much fun to see that in this family too.  You see THIS momma is one of three girls too!! I happen to have it on good authority that this baby was a bit of a surprise which also made this kinda fun too....because MY family knows an awful lot about surprises. See my parents waited patiently for a baby for many years and when the Lord answered their prayers he did it a bit unconventionally,  first with the adoption of my big sister and then about 6 years later with the adoption of me.. But that's not really the surprise I'm talking about, you see the VERY DAY AFTER my parents brought me home,  a tiny three week old baby, my mom got a phone call from her Dr telling he had finally figured out why she hadn't been feeling very well. Turns out she was perfectly fine,  and would be totally back to normal in about 8 months time when she delivered the baby she was carrying!!!! You read that right she was PREGNANT!!! Now that folks is a SURPRISE!!! So fast forward 8 months later and my parents welcomed baby girl number three just like this sweet family did! See, God always has the very BEST of surprises!!! Congrats to this sweet family,  I know this is just the beginning of all the sweet surprises they have in store for them with a house full of girls!! Y'all stay tuned for the newborn shoot,  its coming up next and one of my favs!!!

Mr Congeniality {Frisco TX, Newborn Photographer}

Oh my!! I told this precious baby's momma that I would title my blog post Mr Congeniality and I wasn't playing! This gorgeous boy gave me more smiles in this shoot than I knew what to do with!! I LOVE it!! He was so sweet and content! AND such a BIG boy!! So big that my baskets and props were almost, but not quite, too small! I was worried when I left that I didn't get much of big brother and little brother together that was usable as big brother was busy and wanted to play instead of pose,  AND I was set up to shoot in his playroom!! Goodness!! But he was super sweet and super proud of his little brother and was happy to show me that he was! In fact,  after editing these,  I am one hundred percent IN LOVE with the pics of the two of them together!! I think they may be some of my favorites ever!! Yes, I know I say that with each shoot but I mean it every time!!  Enjoy these pics from this sweet session,  I enjoyed every bit of it!!

This precious girl was absolutely perfect for her newborn shoot! I was so excited to go and shoot her,  after all I was there to see her grand entrance and she pretty much came out camera ready! For real this precious girl had gorgeous skin and was always ready to strike a pose! Big sister looks equally gorgeous and was a super big helper and let me get some great sibling photos too...LOVE!! I"m always totally amazed when I walk into a clients home for a newborn shoot and the mom looks as beautiful as this mom did.  It blows my mind!! Folks,  I'm shooting these pics generally in THE FIRST WEEK OF LIFE?!?! Thinking back on the mess I was after both of my deliveries I'm not sure I could even shower without someone else actively participating to help me get it done...much less open the door and look like a million bucks like this momma did?!?! Totally beyond my understanding:) LOL!  I'm sure you will agree with me that this whole family is stunning...take a look and enjoy!

The title of my post is a bit tongue in cheek given that I made a mad dash to make it in time for this delivery! This sweet baby girl was just taking her own sweet time in deciding when to make her appearance.  I waited patiently at home for the call that her momma was getting close and instead I answered the phone to her momma's sweet voice saying " I''m so sorry this is such short notice but all of a sudden I'm complete and ready to push and the Dr is here"  OH MY GOSH!! NOOOO....DON'T PUSH!! LOL! I told her that like she had a choice and the Dr was going to be ok with waiting around until I arrived! Ha!! I'm pretty sure I texted her while waiting at a red light, telling her to be a wimpy pusher for just 5 or 6 minutes longer! I raced into the room,  I'm positive the nurses at the desk were laughing at me, with just enough time to get my camera ready,  hop up on my chair in the corner where I like to shoot from and fire away! YAY! I'm so glad I made it! Truly this is one breathtakingly beautiful baby girl! Tho I'm sure no one is surprised by that, as her momma and sweet big sister are stunning as well! Just look at her!! She was sooooo alert and in a couple of pics I swear she is smiling at me! I know I caught her precious dimples in at least one shot!!  These were such sweet moments to catch! I know I've mentioned that my most favorite thing EVER to shoot is births and this one didn't fail to disappoint me! One of the CRNA's that I work with was looking at my camera equipment and impressed asked me "now tell me with that equipment,  is this a hobby or a passion?!?" BOTH!! But when it comes to birth photography it is truly a passion for it and nothing else that drives me to do it.  I especially love a birth when I get to hang around and see the babies introduced to their big siblings!! I can never not be touched by those moments between new siblings in a growing family.  I love watching families grow! I don't know if its because my own sisters have always meant so much to me or if its because I struggled for so many years trying to achieve my desire to grow my own family. More than likely its both,  but either way I cant help but get a little misty eyed when I get to witness it.  What an incredible honor and privilege to be asked to capture it!!! This sweet big sister was in one of my sibling classes and I knew from the start she would be a great big sister and boy did she prove me right!! Just look at how excited she is!! I LOVE IT! I almost always come out of every shoot with a new favorite picture....this shoot I came away with two!! Can you guess which ones they are?!?!  Who ever guesses first which two pics are my new fav will receive a complementary mini session,  20 min of shooting time for up to 4 people and 5-7 fully edited digital images at the location of their choice! OH my goodness!! This sweet boy was the BEST ever!! I'm not kidding,  I usually arrive to a newborn shoot prepared to stay for the long haul, maybe a feeding or two,  required diaper changes, just some needed snuggle time with mom and dad...all those necessary things that make newborn sessions a marathon of a shoot.  It's just the way it goes.  However,  this little guy did not get that memo!  He was absolutely perfect from beginning to end,  totally OK with whatever I asked of him. He even gave me the perfect smile!!! Yippee!! That is photographers gold right there!  It was crazy how well the whole  shoot went and ever more astounding ...how quickly we were able to get it done! No lie folks,  quickest newborn session EVER! This little man must be a total dream for his precious parents! He certainly could not  have been more of a dream for me!! Tho how could I have expected anything less from this sweet little guy after he made his birth shoot so extremely convenient for me as well!! Take a look at this beautiful boy...ooohhh I could just take a bite out of him he is so so sweet!!

Oh how I love deliveries!! Such a wonderful miraculous event! Every time I get to witness one I am reminded that I am truly doing what I was meant to do!! And Its always an added bonus when I get to "capture" it for the family as well! Ive been known to grab a patients camera a time or two and snap away for them, but when I actually plan to take pictures at a delivery I can not contain my excitement!! For real, I LOVE "capturing" growing families! This sweet family was soooo fun!! I think one of my favorite moments was when big brother came in to see the new addition and he looked up at me and said "Hey it's Miss Emily, you taught me how to be a big brother!" Is this not one beautifully precious baby???  Oh so sweet!! And it is so very obvious that her parents are 100% head over heals in love with her already!! Who wouldn't fall in love with this little love!! I certainly did in just the short time I got to spend with her.  Her parents were so very patient and accommodating and I think we got some precious shots! I know this baby's sweet momma had been dying to see some pics form her newborn session!! And Ive been dying to show her some.  But sadly,  as I am new to the blogging world I have been uploading HUGE files to my blog and used up ALL my available space for uploads...ooops!! My main man came to my rescue and helped me figure out my problem so now I can finally share a few sweet pics of this precious baby girl!! She was soooo alert and awake for most of her session but just as I was about to give up on sleepy pics she finally drifted off. Soooo sweet!! Keeping my fingers crossed to meet this sweet baby girl actually worked!!! She's Here!!! And oh so beautiful...just like her momma!! Seriously folks,  it is just not right to look that beautiful just after giving birth!! But just look,  she is stunning!! It took some serious kid juggling to make this shoot happen,  after all this little one did not get the memo that Wed night is the only time I don't have childcare as my main man has a commitment every Wed night.  I tried telling her if she was going to come on Wed night then I could accommodate her but not between 8:30pm and 11:30pm, So she waited untill the very last possible min and came at 7:47!! HUGE shout out to my bestest friend in the whole wide world who relieved my babysitter so I could stay and capture all these pics!!! I see many photoshoot and margarita's in her future!  Let me tell you folks there is not NOTHING I love photographing more than a birth!! I don't know if its because I'm comfortable in a birthing room and know what to look for,  or if it's the story the pictures tell....but I LOVE it!! I'm so very blessed and honored to be apart of this experience every day I go to work,  maybe thats why I love "capturing" it so much,  as the photographer I can really just soak it in and experience it.  It also a different kind of photography,  less about the perfect shot and more about just capturing the memory.  Have I mentioned how much I love doing it??? OH Big Brother!

I headed back to Little Miss "A"s house for a visit and to see if we could persuade Big Brother to pose for some pics with his little miss sis! According to his momma he hasn't been extremely interested except to say 'Ahhhh" when he has overheard people talking about her. At her newborn session he did not want to take pics but that was more my fault than his because I arrived too close to his nap time.  Well this time we were able to get him to check her out and capture a couple of kisses for the camera!! YAY!! I think they are precious,  I hope his momma and you think so too!

Mommy's and Their Daughters....

There is just something about mommy's and daughters,  a special kind of love and hope for a bright future is born with each precious little girl. Such fun a little girl brings to her momma when there are hair bows and nail polish to play with and tea parties to plan and execute!! There is special kind of gentleness and grace in a baby girl....those breath taking moments when you see your tiny daughter be a momma to her babies and love on them like you have loved on her...unbeatable...truly nothing like it in this world! I love mommy's and daughters!!  And....I love that this precious mommy let me photograph her so soon after delivering her daughter,  she was less than a week old and her momma put aside her lack of sleep and feelings that she might not look her best,  like all new moms feel,  and let me capture these precious moments of getting to know her sweet baby girl!! Absolutely beautiful and touching.

Be still my Heart!

Just had to share a few from this shoot from Friday! I have several other shoots to finish before I can really start to work on these but wanted to pick a few to share....this Little miss was a dream to capture!! She is super laid back and a great sleeper,  she let me pose and position her for hours!! Literally! Not that there wasn't plenty of loving on her and chatting with her momma thrown in there! Im may just have to go back for more and get big brother into som pics!!  Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

She's Here!! She's Here!!

OH MY what a crazy two days!! I've have waited sooooo long to meet this sweet little girl!! After all, I was the one who brought the pregnancy test to her momma who was sure she could NOT be pregnant! LOL!! I planned for months to be there for the big moment, to capture her arrival into this world,  and the little stinker decided to be born in the middle of the night, smack dab in between two 12 hour shifts I had to work!! UGH!! I did get to get her momma settled into her labor room before I headed home to shower and get ready for the call to come back to the hospital...I even had my things packed so I could sleep the rest of my night somewhere in the hospital...but sadly in all the craziness of her birth...the call was never made:( When her momma texted me a pic of her at 3 am...I literally cried...I missed it!! But mostly tears of joy for my sweet friend and the arrival of her precious daughter! Soooo I just had to make up for it and snap away today while I was blessed to be caring for her momma.  I absolutely LOVE watching families grow!!  Here are just a few moments I captured of this beautiful and blessed family.

Tiny Mr "J"

I was so excited and honored to photograph this precious newborn!  Not only did I know his grandma,  who was a great friend through out nursing school,  I had known his grandmothers,  twin sister for years!! She was my discipleship leader through out high school and I even sang in her wedding! ALSO,  his momma was MY daughters 1st babysitter!! Y'all following me on all these connections??? ;) It was a fantastic shoot! Kudos to his mom and Nana for keeping up with me and letting me try all sorts of things with this boy!! An added bonus...his big brother and big cousin came along for the fun and I put my camera to work with those "big" boys too!!
